The 2017 ASWIFTT Literary Visual & Performing Arts AWARDS

the-number3It’s that time again to join ASWIFTT RADIO Host, Brenda Johnson Padgitt along with her co-hosts Glenda Fields and Eunice Bridges on January 29, 20167 at 5 pm CST, 6 pm EST, and 3 pm PST, as they host The 2017 ASWIFTT Literary, Visual & Performing Arts Awards.  This will be ASWIFTT’s 3rd annual awards ceremony for ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild members and ASWIFTT PUBLISHING, LLC authors.

The awards recognition platform seeks to recognize and appreciate its members for their works, publications, community involvement and contributions in the Literary, Visual, & Performing Arts.  ASWIFTT Award categories range from Education, Global Outreach,Transitional Figure & More.

Winners will have the opportunity to call in to give a 2 minute acceptance speech. ID-10075348They will also receive their awards and prizes in the mail.  ASWIFTT is for the author, artist, playwright, movie producer, director, journalist, etc. who has the talent to put pen or brush to paper to create a unique & valuable piece of work. ASWIFTT is always looking for new talents to enhance the Literary, Visual & Performing Arts.

ASWIFTT JR. Member Kamille Padgitt Was Honored For Her Poetic Piece

Kamille Padgitt1AASWIFTT JR. Writer’s Guild member Kamille Padgitt did us proud at the 20th Annual Youth Poetry Competition. She was one of the finalists for her poetic spin “Don’t Worry Be Happy.” Kamille’s poem was published with other Dallas ISD poetry finalists in the 20th Annual Youth Poetry Competition Finalists’ Anthology. The event took place on April 23, 2016 at the J. Erik Johnson Central Library located at 1515 Young St., Dallas, Texas 75201. She did an excellent job of representing ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild and her school. Kamille eloquently read her piece and was honored with the other finalists. The Express Yourself Youth Poetry Competition is sponsored by the Dallas Public Library and the Dallas Foundation. It is a competition that takes place every year.

Kamille Padgitt is also a published author who wrote “The Jersey Devil Is Not REAL!” inexpressYourself pic October 2013. As a member of ASWIFTT JR. Writer’s Guild, she is receiving mentoring and support to develop her chosen literary craft. She wants to publish more of her fiction stories in the future. Her desire is to become a scientist, teacher and author like her mother. She enjoys singing, reading, science, painting, ballet, drawing and riding her bicycle.

ASWIFTT JR. Member, Kamille Padgitt Puts Poetic Spin On “Don’t Worry Be Happy!”

The ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild Organization and Founders are proud to announce that Kamille Padgitt made the final cut in the “Express Yourself Youth Poetry Competition sponsored by the Dallas Public Library and the Dallas Foundation. Kamille entered the contest earlier this year in January 2016. The piece she authored is called “Don’t Worry Be Happy!” She is among the 60 finalists who will read their poem on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 a.m at a ceremony & luncheon at the J. Erik Johsson Central Library, located at 1515 Young Street in Dallas, Texas.

Kamille was also honored on March 22, 2016 at the DallasexpressYourself pic ISD Scholars Recognition Ceremony.  She is listed among other Dallas ISD Scholars for her Exemplary Academic Achievements.  Kamille is a 7th grader who scored in the 95th percentile on her STAAR Reading/Math standardized test last year.  The Dallas ISD Scholars Program recognizes students in the 7th through 11th grade who have demonstrated academic excellence and college readiness potential.  This program supports students in their pursuit toward National Merit Scholarships and it also provides resources and opportunities that promote academic and social success.

Join ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild on March 8, 2014 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Carrollton Public Library at Josey Ranch Lake in the Environmental Center to share an excerpt from your book, One of your visual masterpieces, or a sample of your performing arts creation.  “SPEAK your PIECE” allows you to share and promote your published works with members of ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild and others who attends this event. Bring your best written, visual or performing arts piece.  ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild wants to support what you are doing. SPEAK your PIECE will be fun and entertaining for all.  Again, join us from 1 pm to 3 pm  at the Carrollton Public Library at Josey Ranch Lake in the Environmental Center located at 1700 Keller Springs, Carrollton, Texas 75006.  See you there!

ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild Founders are:

Brenda Johnson Padgitt is an author, publisher, teacher, entrepreneur and insurance broker. She  has written “How Did I Get Into This Mess? You Compromised, Saith, The Lord,” which is a book that takes a deep look at how and why we compromise the word of God. Brenda provides encouragement and walks you through steps to get you back on track with your DESTINY.  Brenda has also written The Young Scholar’s Workbook: Book I Vol. I, Articles for Personal Growth and Development and her latest book “My Baby Sister.”

Eunice Bridges is an author, playwright and movie producer.  She has produced the movie “The Prayer of a Righteous Seed,” which is a movie about a wayward young man. He lives a life chasing women, breaking the law and hanging with the wrong crowd until he has an encounter with God.  Eunice has also written A Day Like Mine, Silent Cry, Destiny of Flight and her latest book “A Child’s Laughter.”

Glenda Fields is a licensed minister, evangelist and author.  She has written “Look Out The Enemy Is Coming,” which is an eye opening book that unveil the masks in our lives. It exposes the unknown or unseen forces behind the masks.  Glenda has also written Diary of a Man and Heart of a Woman, Conversations With God, Get Over It! Heal! Move On! Facing the Enemy Within, The Enemy Among Us and I am On The Verge.
