Calling The Village To ACTION!

4-11-2015 by Brenda Johnson Padgitt

Here at ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild, our hearts are heavy and we are grieved at the continuous loss of our nation’s children who choose to commit suicide to escape bullying or other issues of life.  This is an attack of the enemy who is an invisible force that orchestrates tragic events.  It is everyone’s responsibility to keep watch, protect, defend and educate our children.  They are precious.

It is unfortunate that children are forced to figure out, make decisions, and take things into their own hands when adult intervention is nowhere to be found.   The enemy is having a field day keeping adults in confusion on issues that should be easy to solve, while he is taking our children.

Again I am calling on “The Village” to step up and take responsibility for our children.  Our children depend on adults to lead the way.  In no way should any child be forced to make adult decisions.  We force children into making decisions they are not mature enough to make.

Tragedies happen when adults fail to take responsibilities head on to come up with solutions that are safe-havens for our kids.

What About Our Children FRT CVRIn April and June of 2013 the founders of ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild, Brenda Johnson Padgitt, Glenda Fields, Eunice Bridges and special guest Michael Guinn, did the broadcast “What About Our Children?” Part I and Part II.  With the recent rise in suicides among our nation’s children and the gross issue of bullying, ASWIFTT Writer’s Guild Founders are charged to speak out again on these issues.

Brenda Johnson Padgitt, Glenda Fields and Eunice Bridges are currently working on the book project “What About Our Children?”  It is set to be released on June 15, 2015.   Brenda, Glenda and Eunice felt a need to come together to transform the broadcast “What About Our Children?” into a tangible book for parents, guardians, mentors, teachers, etc to learn more about the issues our children face daily.

Our children need us! Getting involved with the youth of your community is needed like never before.  We need role models, mentors, teachers, coaches, parents, and guardians.  If you are not involved with an organization, business, school, recreation center, etc that reaches out to kids below is a list of organizations.  Please choose one today!
